Early College

The mission of Harrison High School's Early College Program is to allow students the opportunity to set themselves apart by earning a high school diploma and college credits in a coordinated pathway for college and career advancement.  Students who participate in the program will take targeted dual credit courses at Harrison High School. Students who complete the program will earn a Indiana College Core Certificate of Graduation from Vincennes University as well as a minimum of 30 college credits.  The Indiana College Core gives students the opportunity to prepare academically and socially for college success in order to compete in a global workplace. In addition, students who earn the Indiana College Core Certificate of Graduation will guarantee the transfer of the earned dual credits to any public, instate university in Indiana.

Students earn the Indiana College Core by completing dual credit classes. We have had students at Harrison earn who earned the Core 40, Core 40 with Academic Honors and the Distinction diploma complete this program. This program is designed to for the student who is targeting college and trying to get a head start on their college course work.
