The SIA Foundation awarded a grant to Harrison High School during a ceremony December 11 at SIA in Lafayette. The organization gave art teacher Jennifer Tordil $5,988 to support efforts to make photography classes accessible to all students. The money will be used to purchase 12 digital cameras and related equipment.
"This will be extremely helpful for students who may not have access to a digital camera or cannot afford one," explained Tordil. "The cameras will be loaned out during class so students can take photos and learn more creative techniques that come with digital photography."
