The Tippecanoe School Corporation has appointed Amanda Redmon as an assistant principal at Harrison High School. Redmon replaces Gloria Grigsby who TSC recently named as principal of McCutcheon High School.
Redmon has more than 10 years of experience as a principal or assistant principal and several years of teaching experience. She holds a master’s degree from Ball State University and a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.
“I am excited to have an opportunity to work with the students and staff of Harrison High School,” says Redmon. “I look forward to learning and growing myself, as well as helping our staff and students become the best they can be.”
Principal Cory Marshall says it’s evident that Redmon has a passion for students and learning. "Her background as a teacher, instructional coach and administrator at both the elementary and secondary levels are experiences that make her an outstanding choice for Harrison High School," says Marshall.
As an assistant principal, Redmon will oversee student services and curriculum at the school of more than 2,000 students. Her goal is to have a positive influence on all students: “By the time each student graduates, I want he/she to be prepared for that next journey in life. I want our students to look back at the memories of high school and feel good about being prepared for the world we live in today.”
The TSC Board of School Trustees ratified Redmon’s administrative contract at the July 14 meeting.
