TSC completes feasibility study on Harrison

Architects completed a feasibility study on Harrison High School to address increased enrollment, projected growth and changing educational needs. The study generated recommendations for needed renovations and additional classroom space. The recommendations include:

  • Nearly 50,000 square feet, two-story addition to the east side that would contain 14 new classrooms designed for science programs
  • Repurposing existing science rooms for general classroom space and large group instruction
  • Site improvements including a new Raider Tennis Complex relocated to existing property to the south, increased parking, artificial turf to the football field and possible pool area renovations
  • Building improvements also include mechanical and electrical system upgrades, Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS), art casework, fire alarm system, air conditioning to the gym and other improvements

The Tippecanoe School Board of School Trustees will review the plans, study financing options and develop a timeline for the project. Architects will also complete a feasibility study on McCutcheon High School in the coming months
